YGAP CAUSE

We’re all busy… busy, busy! Taking time out to help others often gets pushed to the bottom of the list of things to do. Work and life in general take charge and the simple act of charity often gets lost in the midst of the whirling world. Melbourne based charity organization, YGAP, have made charity their job and their focus. YGAP is a not-for-profit volunteer organization that is putting the pedal to the metal in order to create real social change. Big Dog likes the sound of that and it’s why they are working together to do great things.

The improvement of education in Bangladesh is by no means a small feat. YGAP and Big Dog recognize when their help is needed and they don’t shy away from a challenge. They have started an initiative to build and maintain primary schools on Bangladesh’s flood-stricken Bhola Island. In reality, this means tangible social change. Big Dog is proud to be actively involved in the Bangladesh project, as well as others under the YGAP umbrella. Big Dog and YGAP provide a combined annual donation of $8,000 for the Bangladesh project.

YGAP enables people to be a part of innovative, collaborative and practical projects. Original and different thinking is what makes Big Dog’s partnership with YGAP so strong. They’re both about being and making a difference. Big Dog tries to spread the love across as much as they can. The collaboration with YGAP is one Big Dog is particularly proud of, but there are also many more. Recently Big Dog was involved in an innovative charity event; The Op Shop Party. Lending a helping hand, the Prahran Mission was able to raise over $7000 for the homeless and disenfranchised. Events like this and relationships with companies such as YGAP put big smiles on the faces of the Big Dogs, and even bigger smiles on the faces of thousands more in Australia and around the world.
